Steven Estrella

Biography

Steven Estrella is a life-long Gaucho, having earned his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering at UCSB, and now pursuing a Ph.D. His research interests include silicon photonics, ring resonator modulators and filters, and low-energy optical interconnects. Outside of photonics, Steven enjoys learning about astrophysics, gravitational wave astronomy, and quantum computing. In his "spare" time, he also enjoys rock climbing, hiking, guitar, world travel, and good food.
